Our Hong Kong One Day Tour in the New Territories!

April 27, 2017

Tours can depart every Wednesday and Saturday from October through May.

It would take nerves of steel to ride a bike in Hong Kong downtown, but the untouched New Territories are an entirely different matter. This guided outing is not just a soft workout on two wheels, it includes a visit to an age old walled village, a mysterious tree house and an internationally recognized bird migration area.

We welcome individual bookings and this tour is family friendly!  Go to this Tour’s booking page to register interest, check on current participation for any given date and book! Itinerary:

First we will cycle through Kam Tin Walled City, and then onto the historic village of Shui Tau, with its Old Schoolhouse Museum and Ancestral Halls. Following, we are off to the nearby Mystery Tree House, with 850 years of history to pore over! From the Tree House we cycle to Nam Sheng Wai, an area known for its many bird species.

Continuing on we arrive at the old city of Yuen Long. Here we will join in a delicious DimSum lunch. After lunch those who have joined the half day option will depart and the rest of us will continue cycling through Yuen Long to the Fish Ponds of Tsim Bei Tsui and the border fence of China! Across the bay you will see China, while on the other side, we will ride through some of the best bird migration areas Hong Kong has to offer, situated right behind the Wetland Park.

If time allows, our next stop will be Lau Fau Shan, an ancient fishing village with an interesting market and oyster beds.  Finally, we finish our ride, cycling back towards Hong Kong’s very own Wetland Park. You are free to explore at your leisure, however we recommend you allow two hours to enjoy it. The Wetland Park closes at 5:00PM, so we will try to be there by 2:30PM. Transport after the Wetland Park will be suggested by our guide before he says good-bye to the the group..
